Alright.. last post from Cairns..
Just got home from a girls night here.. We just hung out at the bar we were at last night.. it was just a tad more mellow tonight! They had free vouchers for a meal there from their hostel. They had one from yesterday too, so they changed the date on it and gave it to me so I got my first taste of a hostel meal.. oh yum let me tell you! Haha it wasn't that bad.. sketti with meat sauce..
We sat and talked for a while about randomness.. I guess they went to Catholic schools growing up too.. then we went to the casino here in town cuz Ellie has never been to a casino before.. We just walked around.. she commented on how tacky it was (haha) and then we just had to play one slot so she could say she gambled.. so I put a dollar in, we pressed some buttons and ended up doubling up!! This was the first time I have ever walked out of a casino a winner! I proceeded to spend my winnings on a snickers bar at the convenience store we stopped at. She wanted a SlushPuppy(apparently very popular in the UK).. but the Snickers here taste not as good as they do in the States sadly!
Then, because we were already at my hotel.. they dropped me off! We said our sad goodbyes, exchanged names for facebook (gotta love it!) and I told them I wanted to visit them sometime in London.. haha.. maybe next summer?? Gotta do something with those 2.5 months I get off a year!
Now I'm back the Hilton.. getting ready to hit the hay!

Haha! You went to the WoolShed! I, too, got to have some of that "fabulous" spaghetti, but sadly, never got to see the place jumping. We went to a different bar for our night out. Who were the staff on your boat?
ReplyDeleteWe actually didn't start at the WoolShed.. we started at some other bar I can't remember the name of.. Our crew consisted of Oscar, Mike, Ben, Dave, Ahmed, Nadine, and some new chick who was trying out to be the cook on board..
